Tanteo Navidad is a 100% blue weber agave Añejo tequila infused with pequin chilis, nutmeg, clove, cinnamon, ginger and cocoa beans. Layers all the flavors of the holidays over an ultra-premium añejo tequila rested 18 months in American Oak.
Tanteo Navidad is an 18-month-aged añejo tequila infused with Pequin Chilis (also known as Christmas peppers), along with clove, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and a bit of chocolate. It’s our first tequila we designed to drink on its own, though it works in a variety of specialty cocktails, from Tequila Old Fashioneds, Negronis, and Manhattans.
We are especially proud of this tequila not only for its deliciousness but for the attention to detail of the label, which describes the many years needed to bring this tequila from ground to glass. With astrological signs guiding the flow of the production and showing the yearly cycle of preparing Tanteo Navidad, we also celebrate our jimadors, distillery workers, with a cameo from the three Magi.
We’re excited that we’re able to venture outside of the norm with this design, and hope you’ll take the time to appreciate the artwork if you find it (quantities are limited, so you may need to search a bit).
TASTING NOTES
- Nose: Rich bouquet of ginger, clove, nutmeg, toffee, and vanilla.
- Palate: Slightly sweet, with a kiss of heat and rich mouthfeel.
- Finish: Long and lingering, with cinnamon, cacaco, and warth from the chilis.
