Product Description
- The first Irish whiskey from the Western province of Connacht in over 107 years, Every precious drop of Drumshanbo Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey has been triple distilled by The Shed Head Distiller, Brian Taft using Malted Irish Barley, Un-malted Irish Barley and Irish Barra Oats. Aged in Sherry Oloroso and Kentucky Bourbon casks with no added colour and no chill filtration, and bottled at 46% abv. Malted Irish Barley, Un-malted Irish barley, and Irish Barra Oats
- Un-malted lends the new make spirit a unique spiciness & depth. The malted barley is much softer, and lends the spirit an inherent sweetness & a deeper, more full body.
- As part of The Shed's constant quest to create what they like to call “Premier Grand Cru” Irish whiskey, the distillery strives to use only the most premium quality ingredients in the world. For Drumshanbo Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey, they add in a small amount of Barra Oats. These Irish Oats are key to imparting this whiskey with a distinctive elegant creaminess throughout the tasting experience, and elevating the spirit to the most creamy and premium level.
- Un-malted barley imparts a silky mouthfeel, when combined with the Barra Oats, to create an intriguing creaminess and spiciness to the finish that is exceptionally smooth, creamy, spicy, and a true delight for the senses.

- About Drumshanbo
- The Shed Distillery, founded in 2014, is part of the new wave of Irish craft distilleries, many of which start by producing gin while their whiskey matures. In 2016, PJ Rigney released Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin, crafted using medieval copper pot stills and blending oriental botanicals with local Irish ones for a harmonious flavor. The gin features fresh citrus notes and a spicy kick, with Gunpowder Tea—carefully rolled green tea pellets, originating from the Tang Dynasty—playing a key role in its bold and bright profile.
